Cowboy Cookout

Minimum Age: Eight years old
Step into the Alberta wilderness and become a cowboy for the day, where you can ride on horseback or in a wagon. Ride along Bow River underneath the western skies, and wander over yonder till you see the Rocky Mountains rise. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and other critters. Make sure you work up an appetite through games of lassoing and horseshoes, before enjoying an authentic cowboy BBQ.
Shuttle transportation will be provided to the tour and will depart the Rimrock Hotel at 10:30am. Two options are available for this tour: Horseback ($179) or Wagon ($119). Anyone riding horseback must wear close-toed shoes, wear a helmet, and be under 230 lbs (strict).
Your ticket includes transportation to and from the activity, horseback or wagon ride, lunch, helmet (If needed).
Canoeing on Barrier Lake

Adults Only
Discover the beauty of Alberta by canoeing on the crystal blue waters of Kananaskis Valley’s Barrier Lake. Soak in the peaceful surroundings while your guide teaches you how to paddle your canoe, before exploring the lake.
Shuttle transportation will be provided to the tour and will depart the Rimrock Hotel at 10:30am.
Two options will be available onsite at the launching point – smaller tandem canoes for two passengers, or a large voyageur canoe ($189)
Your ticket includes transportation to and from Kananaskis, life jackets, gear, paddles, lunch, water/hot drink and snacks
Golf at the Fairmont Banff Springs

A limited number of tee times are available exclusively for Vantage conference delegates at reduced rates, with the earliest times beginning at 7am on May 31st. Your tee time includes green fees and cart rental for the world-renowned 18-hole Stanley Thompson course at the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course. It is recommended that golfers book accommodations in Banff for the night of May 30th, or plan their travel accordingly, to ensure on-time arrival.
Further information regarding tee-times and golf logistics will be provided to confirmed golfers after completing registration. Golf bookings can be made via the Vantage registration page.
Pub Crawl

7:00pm - 11:00pm
On Wednesday night, join your fellow conference attendees for a pub crawl in the Town of Banff, where you can sample brews at three local pubs:

St James's Gate Irish Pub
Rose & Crown
During the pub crawl, we will also stop off at the Carter-Ryan Gallery, home to celebrated Indigenous artist Jason Carter, where we can see a live carving demonstration, meet ‘n’ greet with Jason, and have a complementary glass of prosecco. Prints of Jason’s work will be available at a conference-special rate.
The pub crawl starts at 6:45 p.m. in the Banff Avenue pedestrian zone, at the intersection of Banff Avenue and Wolf Street. Transportation (larger than Herbie the Love Bug) will be provided from the Rimrock to downtown Banff and the other conference hotels between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Conference hosts will help guide the crawl.
Before the pub crawl, conference delegates will have free time for their dinner. This will give you an opportunity to eat at your hotel or at one of the many restaurants in Banff.
60s Shindig

Get into the groove and join the most happening event in Banff: Thursday night’s 1960s Shindig, celebrating LAPP’s 60th anniversary. Hang loose while enjoying an outta sight meal. Joining us for the celebration will be Calgary’s own Dueling Piano Kings, an interactive musical gig. Then the disc jockey will start spinning vinyl and have us dancing late into the night. It’ll be a gas! So throw your 60s outfit in your suitcase and be ready to swing it.
The 60s Shindig is included in your Vantage registration. Additional tickets for to this event can be purchased via partner registration.
